I came here to the Recovery Ranch a little over a year and a half ago, my life was in shambles. I was physically dependent on drugs and alcohol, an addiction that has governed my life for almost 10 years. My family has been trying to help me get my life on track for years, i've been to short term inpatient programs and to jail, and every time i've gone right back into my old lifestyle, unchanged. Today, I have 16 months sober and I have found a commitment to my recovery and to helping others find theirs. I have found a work ethic that i've never had before, and an ability to care about and enjoy what i'm doing. I sponsor others in the program, and I continue to take small steps forward in my life which is essential to me. I have been given a full time job at one of the newest businesses, and i've had an opportunity to be involved in it's growth every step of the way from an idea to a fully running business. The opportunity afforded to me by The Ranch to find a balance with working and my recovery has been a huge key to my success so far. I am so blessed to have been given this last opportunity to get my life back on track, and the Ranch will always be my home and the foundation for my new life. If you or anyone you know is struggling with their addiction and their lives, this is the place to gain some real change and life skills that will turn things around.
